Research Interests
Dr. Crawford’s research includes gender and communication, feminist research methods, and developing interventions to reduce human trafficking.
Publications
Dr. Crawford is the author of leading textbooks in the psychology of women and gender. Her first textbook, Women and Gender: A Feminist Psychology, reached students though four editions (1992-2004). Her most recent is the third edition of Transformations: Women, Gender, and Psychology (McGraw-Hill, 2018).
In recognition of her research on international sex trafficking Dr. Crawford was invited to give a Plenary Address, Ending Sex Trafficking: What Psychology Can Do, at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association, Honolulu, HI (2013).
