Chelsea returns to UConn after being an Academic Advisor/Learning Specialist at the University of Rhode Island (URI), specifically working in the Advising Program for Student-Athletes, where she advised and supported a diverse caseload of student-athletes from various Rhody Athletic Teams. While in this role, she also coordinated the Rhody Life Skills Program, which included various programming initiatives involving first year student transition and success, leadership and career development, and diversity and inclusion.
Prior to URI, Chelsea was in this very role as an Academic Advisor in Psychological Sciences and she is excited to be back! She has also held roles in UConn’s American English Language Institute and the Student-Athlete Success Program.
Chelsea is a two-time Husky Alum, receiving a B.A. in Communications in 2014 and a M.S. in Educational Leadership/Sport Management in 2017. Chelsea uses her diverse experiences, upbeat rhetoric and approachable nature to accurately guide and support students throughout their college experience and beyond.
In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys taking cycling classes, being outside for hiking and beach days, attending sporting events, spending time with her family and friends and taking walks to find puppies to pet while she waits to get her own!
