Assistant Professor in Cognitive Science, Behavioral Neuroscience and Comparative Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2026.  

Job Qualifications Include, but not limited to 

  • Demonstrated potential for conducting interdisciplinary research, particularly connecting human- and animal-based approaches 
  • Evidence of strong translational potential in scholarly work, particularly in relation to addiction, neurodegenerative diseases, and learning science 
  • Ability to integrate innovative techniques in data collection and analysis, such as neuroimaging, chemo genetics, optogenetics, computational modeling, dynamical systems, big-data analytics, and artificial learning models 
  • Potential for contributing to the design and implementation of innovative solutions for future educational demands 
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with faculty, staff, students, and communities to advance the principles of the ASU Charter
