The Position 

The State University of New York at Cortland plans to hire an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department to teach courses in psychology (based on department need and the candidate’s specialization), conduct research, and engage in service beginning in Fall 2027 

Job Qualifications Include, but not limited to 

• Teach undergraduate courses in the discipline based on department need and the applicant’s area of expertise. 

• Develop or continue a program of active research, preferably involving undergraduate research assistants. 

• Additional responsibilities include engaging in service on departmental and university committees, participating in university-wide governance, advising undergraduate students, and maintaining a commitment to undergraduate education.
