Manisha Kuttetira – Enrolled in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology MA program


Manisha graduated from UConn in 2017 with a BS in Psychological Sciences, Research Track, with a minor in Neuroscience.

What are you doing now? Why did you choose to go into this field?

I’m currently doing my master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology at Birkbeck, University of London. This field is extremely interdisciplinary and allows me to divulge in the brain by more than just structures and theories.

How has your UConn degree helped prepare you for what you’re doing now?

UConn gave me a great foundation and work ethic to do well in my field. The research experience is priceless and has given me the necessary tools to feel confident in my current projects.

What was your favorite psych course you took?

My favorite course was Drugs and Behavior taught by Dr. Salamone.

What’s a piece of advice you would give to current students in our program?

The program is, without a doubt, preparing you for life after college. Take everything in, because you will definitely be using it later. Also, make sure to create relationships with professors, as the advice and experience that they have will give you the tools to be successful after UConn.
