The Department of Psychology at Hampton University, is within the School of Liberal Arts and Education (SLAE) and currently houses the BA in Psychology, BA in Psychology– Pre-Medical Track, BA in Psychology-Black Marriage & Family Studies Track, and the forthcoming MA in Psychology in Community Psychology. The Department is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position at Assistant Professor Level beginning Fall 2025/Spring 2026.

The Laura Bassi Scholarship was established in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed.
