Clinical Neuropsychologist

The State of ConnecticutDepartment of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is now hiring for a Clinical Neuropsychologist to join their team! Please note: this position is Hazardous Duty. 

  • Provide care in a multidisciplinary forensic psychiatric hospital setting; 
  • Conduct assessment, treatment, evaluation and consultation on complex patients or those for whom there may be a neurological, neuropsychological, or neurobehavioral component requiring specialized evaluation or treatment;
  • Meet with clinical teams, psychiatrists, psychologists, unit staff and forensic services to provide consultation and education related to specific patient management needs;
  • Provide clinical consultation and supervision on assessments, evaluations, recommendations, and accommodations to hospital psychologists, trainees, and interdisciplinary staff; 
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision of Dutcher Restoration Service (DRS) Psychologists; 
  • Help plan and implement hospital educational activities, providing and coordinating both inter and intradepartmental trainings on assessment, neurocognitive, neurobehavioral issues or interventions, as well as broader psychology issues; and
  • May testify in public legal proceedings or hearings.
