Washburn University’s Department of Psychology invites applications for two assistant professor positions to begin August 2025. These are full-time 9-month, tenure track positions. A completed doctorate is necessary for tenure-track appointment.
Each selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to pursuing teaching excellence at Washburn University, including a dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage students from all backgrounds.
The Psychology department is a collegial and collaborative one and consists of faculty from various areas in psychology. All faculty teach and advise our undergraduate and graduate students. Clinical faculty also supervise therapist trainees in the department’s Psychological Services Clinic. Washburn provides support for faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students to present collaborative research at regional and/or national conferences each year.
