Research Interests

Prof. Chen examines the psychological processes engaged in diverse social interactions. In general, she is interested in how social group memberships (such as race, gender, and cultural background) influence our perceptions and interactions with others. She directs the Social Cognition and Intergroup Perception (SCIP) Lab.
